Adult Education Fact Sheet:  New Investments Needed to Improve RI's Economic Competitiveness (9.07)


Workforce Investment Act State Plan (6.05)
The Poverty Institute has three main areas of concern:  Integrating adult basic education and ESOL as part of the overall workforce development system and strategy; providing information about the Workforce Investment Board (WIB) and maintaining and expanding partnerships with community-based organizations to increase capacity to serve those with barriers to employment.


Moving Towards an Adult Literacy System (11.03)
This report explores models and experiences from other states and groups for reshaping Rhode Island's adult basic education system.  The report includes sections on:  Components, Roles and Collaborations; Accountability, Performance Measures and Program Improvement; Program and Instructional Practices; and Professional Development.
